So for this edition of the K Club Special series, we are going to focus on three of the four K Clubbers: Kathy, Karen, and Kay (we'll save Colleen for another day!)
Kathy, Kay and Karen in Summer time tops!
And the same trio in winter time wear!
Back to Summer time fun! (Thanks to Blue Senshi for the pic!)
I'm not sure what the merry-go-round horse has to do with anything, but these three light up any scene!
More toppings from our featured thtee!
And finally we have these three in a classic pose - one looking ahead and the other two looking to the sides. Not sure what is going on here either. But regardless, they look great!

That's So 70s: I Dream of Jeans, Part 5!!
If there is one true American fashion statement it is jeans. Yep, whether for men or women, jeans are always in style. And when you think of the Big Book catalogs of the 70s, you always dreamed of jeans!!!
And we'll start with a really dreamy pic of Kathy!
Jeans, jeans and more jeans from JCPenney! Whether cuffed, brushed or basic, they were certainly dreamy!
Boy cut?? Colleen still looks dreamy and feminine here!
Kathy and Kay in brushed cotton and denim jeans!
Even the ladies got into the jeans scene!
Karen looking good in cotton corduroy jeans!
More 70s jean dreams from JCPenney!
Kay looking good!
A nice pic of Kathy. I'm not sure what the pose is about?!? (This pic is courtesy of Blue Senshi, Thanks!)
"So did the guys of the 70s get into the jeans scene too?" you may ask. Good question.
I'm not sure what to say here! Not so much of a dream but a nightmare!!

That's So 70s, Winter Wear - Part 6
The calendar says that it's teh season to start getting your winter wear ready for te upcoming cold season, but the thermometer says that it's still summer (at least here in South Texas). Help! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the Big Book catalogs of the 70s ride to the rescue!
It's the Great White North, eh? Kathy and Karen look absolutely smothered in these super heavy winter coats from Simpsons Sears. Of course they know a thing or two about warmth plus style for those cold northern winters!
Nice hats!
Colleen gets into the Canadian winter act!
But back in the states, they were wearing something called "melton-cloth". Doesn't sound too warm to me.
Back to the warm Canadian winter fashions with Shelley!
Well now we have the choice of fake fur!
Oh no, from fake muskrat to the real thing!
And finally back in teh States with Kathy, Karen, and Dottie. I feel ready for that cold weather now!

Uniforms, Part 4 - This Time It's Personal!!
My, my, how things have changed. I mean back in the 70s I never, EVER thought that some day, I'd be out shopping for uniforms like these.
Let me explain. I have a daughter who just passed her nursing exam and is now starting out in her first full time job (just in time to help pay for my SSI.) And naturally the student scrubs will simply NOT do. Sooooo, we went shopping for new uniforms. And I was amazed. Yves Saint Laurent makes designer scrubs?!?! Geez, it was so much easier back in the 70s with the Big Book catalogs!!
Wow! Loots of choices here! And who is that in the mini skirt in the tiny insert pic?
Why it's Kathy again!! I can't say that I've ever seen nurse in a mini before, but hey whatever, it's got to make the patients feel better!
Easy Care and Good Values, now wer're talking! No designer scrubs.
Penney's tries to get into the designer uniform business. Sorry, doesn't work for me.
Colleen and Karen, and it looks like they have comfortable shoes too!
Peggy and Kay get into the uniform scene!!
Peggy and Wendy!
And finally Peggy and Kathy! Man it was so much easier back then! Just open one of those groovy Big Book catalogs and charge it!! Those were the days!!

So we'll start out with some groovy 70s uniforms from JCPenney and Kathy in a wig. Hmmm, I'm too sure about that! And check out the the pitch for "on duty foot comfort". When I asked one guy whose wife is nurse for gift ideas for my daughter he responded "comfortable shoes." He knows, he knows.

When Life Was Groovy, Part 6 - Fall Dresses!!
Fall is finally here. All the kiddos are back in school, and where did mom go to get the latest groovy back to school 70s fashions for everyone?? Well, the Big Book catalogs naturally!
The year is 1973 and the mini hadn't been totally forgotten. Nope, thankfully it was still around - along with big floppy collars!
Even moms got into the 70s groove with the giant floppy ties!
Classic 70s style!
A very conservative look here by Kay and friends. Let's face it, the Big Books weren't exactly big on some of teh more outrageous fashions fof teh day. Perhaps that's because the Big Books were where moms (and grand moms) shopped.
The leggings are nice! Kathy, Colleen and friend certainly look like they were ready for school!
"Really Turn You On?" Well those groovy Spiegel fashions shown by Pat Miles and Karen certainly can do that!
More Spiegel Fall dresses!
Kathy and friends are certainly terrific in these 1973 contemporary dresses!
Kathy one last time along with Colleen! Certainly brings back a lot of fond memories of those school days back then! (This pic courtesy of Blue Senshi, Thanks!)
