Christmas Time is Sleepwear Time! Part 8

Those Christmas catalogs from the major retailers weren't only full of toys for the kiddies.  Nope, they covered you head to toe in all the coziest Christmas sleepwear fashions too!

And covered from head to toe are Kathy, Kay and friends (well all except one!)  I'm feeling cozier already!!

Stretching before bedtime?!?!?

Brrrr, cold feet?!? That simply will not do!  And with these snugly sleepers from Penneys, you'll never have to worry about cold feet again!!

More cozy footed sleepers for the holidays!

From cozy to chill-chasing, sleepers for Christmas were always a welcomed gift for that special lady on your list!

Even in Italy, they had to keep warm on those chilly winter nights as seen by Kathy and friend! (1)

And if the sleepers didn't do the trick, you could always add teh groovy Christmas socks (with individual toes no less!)

"Fun-to-Wear Sleepthings" Just because you're sleeping doesn't mean that you can't have fun! (Hmmm, that sounds strangely inappropriate although I don't know why.)

Still more fun sleepthings for while you're sleeping!!

Nothing says "charming romance"quite like "brushed acetate."  Still Kathy, Dottie, Kay, Lauren, and friend pull off the look!

I'm feeling the brushed acetate grooviness for sure now!

Back to the fun in 70s Christmas Catalog sleepwear!  Hmmm, somehow I can't see how sleeping with a fireman's hat is conducive to a good night's sleep??  I guess this post has officially gone to the dogs!

There was something special about that those old Christmas catalogs that made the season special. They were part of the tradition!  Well I guess that about does it for 70s sleepwear...............

Hey!  Wait one cotton-pickin' minute there pardner!!   The spirit of those seasonal catalogs haven't COMPLETELY gone away......
Instead of mail order, now we have the internet.  And while it's not Sears or JCP, PajamaGram has picked up the slack!  Face it, when you first see those PajamaGram commercials in early November, you know that Christmas shopping season has officially begun (delivery guaranteed by Christmas!)

Ahhh, that's the spirit of  the 70s in today's styles!  Merry Christmas to all my loyal readers and may you be as happy on Christmas morning as this family (maybe they've been into the eggnog a bit too much!!)

Scintillating Sleepwear - Part 5!

Yep, winter STILL has its icy grip on most of the country.  So when the mercury plunges, there's really only one thing to do - put on some super groovy 70s sleepwear designed to keep you warm!

And we're not just talking about snuggling here.  No sir!! Here we've got some "Super Snugglies" from Aldens - perfect to take care of that winter chill!

Speaking of snuggling sleepwear, nothing says winter sleepwear quite like these ensembles! They even came with footies to keep those toes snuggly warm on those cold winter nights!

Of course fleece is always a "go-to" fabric when speaking of winter sleepwear.  Kathy appears double or maybe she has a twin?  Nah, just that good ol' 70s photography magic at work!

More fleece!  This time in a variety of winter sleepwear options!

Yet more sleepers to keep you toasty warm!  You gotta love the variety of styles - all the way from bright canary yellow to leopard print designs!  These may keep you warm, but those bright colors may make it hard to actually sleep!

So you may want something a little bit on the lighter side.  Okay, okay, I know this pic is in black and white, but hey, Kathy still looks super cute - even in a wig!

Of course there's one way to stay warm on those cold winter nights....

And that's to snuggle up with a friend!  Lucky dog!!

Scintillating Sears Sleepwear

To be honest, I was a little hesitant about this week's post.  After everyone went bonkers over the swimwear posts, I wasn't sure that we should even broach this corner of 70s fashion.  However, in order to give a proper historical accounting of all the goings on of that era, we must.  I know, I know, such are the burdens and risks undertaken by the blogger historian.

Yes, Kathy fans, you can thank me for this fine pic form Alden's. What you say?  Isn't this supposed to be Scintillating Sears Swimwear?  is this false advertising?  No, not at all dear reader.  May I suggest that if that fact is what you first noticed, then you need to go back and take another look of these smoking hot ladies who are showing us the best of 70s sleepwear.

Besides I couldn't think of an alliteration that goes with Alden's - Awesome Alden's.....oh never mind.

See, get it? The title is Sleeper Quintet and there are five of them.  How tricky!  Kay is kicking up her heels in that stripped thing (That'll keep you up at night!).  Meanwhile, Karen has, the ever popular for nightwear, leopard print thing going on.  Dottie and the blonde on the left are in the classic little girl look,  Kathy outshines them all in bright neon orange!  Once again this is not from Sears and once again, it is the alliteration problem - Jumpin' JCP Jamies perhaps?

Ahh, how sweet is that !  Kathy looks like a princess.  She is even doing a little curtsey.  They almost had the alliteration thing going here - Penney's Packable... PJ's.  That's it! Perfect!  Now with that problem out of the way, we can move on to something important, like Scintillating SEARS Sleepwear.

And Scintillating it most certainly is.  We have Kathy in TWO babydoll pics and a bonus shot of Shelley Hack.  Not much more I can say about this pic!

And finally I threw in a bonus pic for all you Colleen Corby fans.  Nice!

I hope you enjoyed this first installment of sleepwear pics featuring Kathy and the gang.  Plenty more to come.  What?!?!  No snarky footnotes? Well it's hard to be snarky about Awesome Jumpin' Scintillating 70s Sleepwear!
