Christmas Shopping with Greenland Studios!!

Forget Black Friday and even the internet dear readers!! Back in 1972, we did our Christmas shopping from the comfort of home thanks to Greenland Studios!!

For those of you that have no idea what I'm talking about, Greenland Studios was one of those low budget catalogs where you could find all sorts of trinkets and gadgets - perfect for those last minute stocking stuffers!!

For example here is atypical page: a way to preserve stuff in plastic, a 13th century clock, some copper kitchen pots and pans, and a pagoda lamp among other treasures!!

I doubt that the nutcracker would really work.

Everything to improve your looks, catch your dinner, and sleep better all on one page!! What a catalog!!

The main item here that caught my eye was the phone attachment that allows two people to talk in the same phone!!  What will those tech geniuses think of next!!

Introducing The Wankel the pollution free engine of tomorrow.   With a name like that I'm sure it's legit.  After all you see those engines everywhere today!! Oh wait, maybe not......

One drop of glue!! Hey aren't they still pushing that stuff on TV today!!

Astronaut's 100 yr. pen from NASA!!  I heard that instead of spending millions of dollars developing a pen that writes in zero g, those dastardly Ruskies decided to use.......a pencil instead.

Gratuitous picture of dastardly Ruskies!!

Of course, no 70s catalog would be complete without clothes!!
Elegant evening fashions from Greenland Studios!!

Kathy and Karen again!  Where they in EVERY catalog in the 70s!!

Kathy in a wig!!

"There's sensual magic in musk oil".  Certainly that will attract a man!!

And in case it doesn't............................................
There's the vibrator tingle bullet!!  Uhhh, I better not comment further. Like I said, Greenland Studios had something for all of your needs!!

And to pay for all these magical treasures!!

You can use your Dinners Club, BankAmericard, or Master Charge card!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
