Spring is finally, FINALLY here. And what better way to celebrate than taking a look back at some 70s mix 'em and match 'em coordinates!!
Yes sir! Nothing quite says Spring has arrived quite like "Daisy-Bright Separates With Multi-Mixability." Huh? I don't think "mixability" is a real word. And speaking of multiple, how about multiple appearances of both Kathy and Karen in the same scene!
Naturally coordinates are all about being cost effective so they tend to be found among the more non-formal attire. Still Kay, Karen, and Kathy make these low-key fashions look great!
Colleen seems to be extra happy about these polka dot blue coordinates from Sears, and why not?
Even Spiegel tried to get in on the action with coordinates - here in some more somber tones
Aldens was always big on the coordinates, like here. Those are some eye-popping greens! This appears to be a beach setting, but those outfits don't look like beach apparel to me!
Wait a minute, this is supposed to be about Spring coordinates, this is from a Christmas catalog, and I have no idea why I posted this pic. (1)
We can't end on a Winter note. Let's get back to to Spring, shall we?
Speaking of eye-catching. These are some rather eye-catching coordinates modeled by Kathy and Kay for Wards. (2) If you decide you don't like the short, frilly skirt then you can go with the more elegant long, frilly skirt. Either way looks great.
By the way, isn't that a strange prop behind Kathy? I mean a candle on a pedestal, why? I guess it is supposed to make it a more formal setting, but hey, this is still Wards!!

Actually, that outfit Kay is wearing in the last pic looks rather strange. She's still wearing the short skirt, but under them she's wearing these loose, frilly pants!
ReplyDeleteYeah, on second look, I think you're correct. I can't quite figure out if Kay is wearing a skirt or pants, or both! Whatever it is, it's coordinated!
DeleteThey're palazzo pants. My mom favored them for at home hostessing and evening looks...
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've never heard of palazzo plants. That's a new one to me. Still they're pretty awesome looking on Kay!
