Sew Your own Time Again!!

Let's take a look back at some crazy Sew Your Own offerings from the past.  All of these pics are from Popular Fashion Models of the 60s and 70s, but they are just so awesome, I had to repost them!!

Not sure what is groovier, Kathy's matching mittens and cap or the matching his 'n her scarves and caps!!

Colleen has a really spaced out look here.  She's probably thinking "what the heck do they have me wearing now!!"

Obviously he is man of sophisticated tastes in that sweater and, whatever that neck gear is.  Meanwhile she's like "Please stop staring at me like that."

Nothing says "I don't have a date tonight" quite like a sewing a ginormous multicolor afghan while sitting next to a wooden cat.

I cummerbund for the waist AND the top, hmmm interesting  idea!

Add a hat to our your self sewn outfit for that finishing touch!!  You'll be all the rage at the club.

Some sew your own sweaters that are rather tame by the standards of this genre.  

So we will end this post with a nice rugs that you can wear like a cape. Perfect for, well, perfect for something I'm sure, just can't think of anything at the moment!

 And what better way to get ready for bedtime than some awesome sleepwear form Aldens!!!

Besides the yellow hoodie that Kathy is wearing, you just gotta love the granny cap on the model at the top left.  Not really groovy, but still cool!!

A Last Look At Summer

 Ahh, the end of summer is always a time for reflection.  This year I'm not sure what we should be reflecting on?!?!?  Anyway, here are some sizzlin' swimwear from the 70s to take your mind off of things for a short while....

K Club Special: Kathy!!!

 Yep, It's that time again - time for a K Club Special on Kathy herself....

And what would be more emblematic of her career??? Well how about a pic from the Junior Bazaar section of Sears along with two more of the more popular catalog models of that era: Kay and Colleen! (And yep, there's that one hand holding the other pose again!

However, in teh inset pic, we are back to that pose again!!

This time Jill has the hands n pockets look, while Kathy, well, she's looking fantastic here!!

Excellent tank tops.  I sure wish I could locate this "Regal" catalog.  Never heard of it before!!

When Life Was Groovy: JCP 1978!!!

 Ahhh, 1978.  I remember it fondly.  And boy, I'd sure like to go back to those days and forget this year!!!

A really nice pic of three of the stalwarts of catalog modeling in the 70s: Kay, Kathy, and Karen.

You know I just noticed something.  In almost every one of these pics, Kathy is holding finger(s) of her left hand in her right hand.  What's up with that???? 

Repost here I know, but it proves my point!!

Aaaaaaand again.  Hmm, this is something I need to explore further in future posts.  Anyway, you just gotta love these dresses.  I haven't seen anyone where anything like that in a LONG time.  

Well, at least not a female,. Let's not go there.  Oh boy, how I REALLY miss those days.
