A look Towards Spring!!

Well, it's Winter and cold and I didn't feel like posting about THAT.  So why not take a look ahead to Spring!!

And what better way than to look back at the Penny's 1975 Spring / Summer Big Book Catalog!!

Yep, Colleen, Kay, and Karen will chase the winter blues away!!

K Club Special: Kathy!!!

 Yep, It's that time again - time for a K Club Special on Kathy herself....

And what would be more emblematic of her career??? Well how about a pic from the Junior Bazaar section of Sears along with two more of the more popular catalog models of that era: Kay and Colleen! (And yep, there's that one hand holding the other pose again!

However, in teh inset pic, we are back to that pose again!!

This time Jill has the hands n pockets look, while Kathy, well, she's looking fantastic here!!

Random Goodness: Playsuits!

Which turns out are a lot like jumpsuits, except.....well I guess that they are more playful!!

When Life Was Groovy: Back to School Plaids

Yes dear children, it is true.  There once was a time way back in the 70s when back to school fashions included plaids.....

And here's the proof!!

Of course there other patterns besides plaid....

There were crazy flower patterns as well.  Note the cuffed pants in the background.  Who could that be????

Why it's Colleen along with Kathy!!  Plaids or no plaids the one consistent thing was the bell bottom pants... and the platform shoes...and eh extra large collars...and , well, you get the idea.  After all, Life Was Groovy back then!!

When Life Was Groovy: The Wedge

You're probably thinking "Huh, what's a Wedge??"

Well it was just the grooviest open toe shoe of the 70s as Colleen and Kathy are emphatically telling Karen!! 

This is such a great pic of those three from 1972.  Why can't we have groovy things like that now?????

Nah, they know that in blinding white terry jumpsuits, they're just too cool for a hot beach.  Not only is terry so very hot, back in the 70s, terry was so very cool!!
